On Passing Through
Caite Mae Ramos and Stefan Gonzales bring sculpture, drawing, photomedia and installation on and of the land. Ramos and Gonzales emphasize relating to the land and natural life in a mode of care. Their practice documents long-held relationships with natural resources and creatures, yet they both emphasize that these relations are always transitory. Rocks, grass, creatures merely pass through their care as they themselves pass through the natural world.
